A note from Mrs. Barefoot regarding Antigone!!

Help us kick-off the 2018-19 Theatrical Season as PTHS presents Sophocles’ ANTIGONE October 11th-13th, 2018 with a special preview performance on Wednesday, October 10th for staff and families of our cast/crew. All show times at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5students/seniors and $10adults. PTSD staff receives ONE complimentary ticket to any performance.

Come see Antigone as you’ve never seen it before! Classical Greece meets the 21st century with a re-imagined Greek Chorus with a habit of tweeting and streaming even the most private moments in Thebes. Our show makes use of unique and exciting audios/visuals to bring this classic tale to a modern audience.

Disclaimer: Considering the mature nature of the plot of Antigone and the themes it addresses, this show may not be suitable for very young audiences. There is no violence on the stage, but acts of violence are alluded to throughout. My personal recommendation would be grades 5 and up. Antigone is part of the 10thgrade curriculum at the high school, and its companion piece, Oedipus, is taught to seniors.
